When John lost his wife earlier this year, any thoughts he may have had about moving were fleeting. “I happily chose to stay here,” says John. “Everyone knows me by name—from the long-tenured managers to the young dining room servers. They are wonderful people.”

By popular demand, John has become the resident billiards pro. Dubbed “Bridge” for his pool cue skills, he is known to “rack ‘em up” and offer residents tips any time they like. As it turns out, that’s practically daily!

Overall, John loves the lifestyle. “My apartment has everything I need. My car is in the garage, so I can get out when I want, and I never have to shovel snow or mow the lawn, so my time is my own. I’m making the most of it!”
